Huh? Healthcare at the space center? Dragging along an ex-astronaut? Does Kerry have his agencies mixed up? Did his speechwriters slip in the wrong text? Did his manual cut and paste process go awry? This is very strange unless perhaps he plans to slam Bush's Mars policy as wasting money that could be spent on healthcare (totally ignoring all the spinoffs from the space program). Very strange!

...since Florida Today refuses to allow us to post even headlines...

Locals refer to the Florida Today as the "red paper".

Both for it's weird reddish-orange logo and the fact that it's editors are far far left wing. (founded by Al Neuarth...'nuff said)

Please ping the space list ... there is something strange about the mix of topic and backdrop here.

he plans to slam Bush's Mars policy

Exactly. Kerry will reallocate NASA funding to what he thinks are better social programs.

If Kerry would open a Land Office to register claims to outer space resources he would be on the right track. But he won't.

I think that is this the case. I thought John Glenn was for the space proposal.

This is a case of birds of a feather. Stop and think about it, glenn fights commies then backs commies as kerry fought commies and also then backed commies. Birds of a feather flock together.

Our NSS club was at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field in Dallas. We were commemrating the Apollo 11 35th Anniversay. Today is the 35 anniversary of their splash down. One of my Space Cadet buddies heard that Congress has cut NASA's budget by $1 Billion for next year.

We need to continue to fertilize the likes of Rutan, Musk, Carmack and Bigelow!!! Go SpacePlane1. As I understand the offical notification of the X Prize attempt will be made by Scaled Composites this coming week. This is one of the rules for "goin' for the prize"!
