Here is the Sunday Evening FReep report for:

Central Florida FReepers: Man the Ramparts! Kerry is coming to Town!

Kerry was a no show much to his own lament as it turns out JFK diverted his plane to Boston (itinerary flip-flop!) to "throw" out the pitch at the Sox / Yankees game. As you can read in a great thread, Kerry didn't pitch from the mound but still couldn't get the ball all the way to the home plate! This is better than the Dukakis tank incident.

After the press gave up at the local airport, people started arriving across the street from the hotel where Kerry was scheduled to stay (2 doors down from the Waffle House - this keeps getting better and better). At the 7 PM start we had about 16 people with signs, flags, and banners. We had people from Vietnam Vets for The Truth, Swift Boats Vetrans for Truth, the Brevard County GOP, and of course, FreeRepublic (McMuffin and NonValueAdded).

We had lots of signs, flags, and banners as you can see from the pictures I'll post as a reply. Not shown are the Bush / Cheney signs and stickers, "Kerry Go Home," and my personal favorite "Not Fonda Kerry".

We were all very happy with most of the responses we received - lots of honking, thumbs up, and waves. We also got our share of thumbs down, birds, and a few shouted obsenities. The highlight was a deranged liberal screaming out that GWB was an AWOL, er, cat. Picture this red-faced screaming lib with his whole upper body out the driver side window while turning the corner in his ... SUV! Altogether I'd say the response for the 2 hours was 70 / 30 positive.

About an hour into the FReep a few Kerry supporters showed up across the street. McMuffin kept them entertained with his bullhorn. We stuck it out until after dark and when I drove bu at about 9:20 there were still a few people from both sides still there.

THE FREEP WILL CONTINUE TOMORROW AT 7:30 AM ACROSS FROM THE COURTYARD BY MARRIOT (see FReep thread at the top of this post). We are expecting a MUCH larger crowd to help Kerry make his was past the Waffle House to his healthcare speech at the space center (someone brief him on NASA's mission, please).

Kerry fails to show at a lot of his scheduled events and is habitually late for the others. I think he and Teresa both evidence symptoms of cocaine abuse.
