On the campaign trail, Sen. John Forbes Kerry regularly mentions his Vietnam War combat experience, during which he received three Purple Hearts, the Silver Star and Bronze Star.
However, the Massachusetts Democrat doesn't like to talk much about how he received the awards or the time after he returned home when he was rubbing shoulders with Hanoi Jane Fonda as a much-celebrated organizer for Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), one of America's most radical pro-communist groups.
Sen. Kerry, the "noble statesman" and "highly decorated Vietnam vet" of today, is a Far cry from Kerry, the radical, hippie-like leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) in the early 1970s.
Soon after Kerry, as a Navy Lieutenant (junior grade) commanding a Swift boat in Vietnam, was awarded

kerry may not get most of the vote of the current veterans of ww2 or vietnam, however, like gore, his major military support will come from those brave soldiers who fought in the civil war.
Yet Kerry never mentions a word about his 19 year Senate experience.
This is what I was telling you about?
thanks
30 years ago Kerry was admitting to committing war crimes and rallying against an unjust immoral war in Vietnam as a member and leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War
Now 30 years later in his acceptance speech he says I FOUGHT FOR MY COUNTRY
What a flip flopping hypocrit
BTW somebody ought ask those of his crew that support him if they also took part in war crimes under his command or did he do it all on his own
bttt
Wasn't that guy a guest on the show?

I have met quite a few vets who have been in real battles and not one of wanted to talk about it. Two of these men were real hero's with the medals to prove it. One was in the Battan Death March and one captured 10 Germans single handedly. People like Kerry tell everyone how heroic they are and they have not done anything of the sort.

"In my specific, personal experience in both coastal and river patrols over a 12-month period, I never once saw or heard anything remotely resembling the atrocities described by Senator Kerry. If I had, it would have been my obligation to report them in writing to a higher authority, and I would certainly have done that. If Senator Kerry actually witnessed or participated in these atrocities or, as he described them, 'war crimes,' he was obligated to report them. That he did not until later when it suited his political purposes strikes me as opportunism of the worst kind. That he would malign my service and that of his fellow sailors with no regard for the truth makes him totally unqualified to serve as Commander-in-Chief." -- Jeffrey Wainscott
Yes -he called in and was interviewed close to a half an hour if I remember correctly.
----- What Tammy isn't Reading
While listening to the Tammy Bruce Show this afternoon, a caller stated that John Kerry's book (shown below) no longer has the picture on the cover. Cannot be seen on sites such as Amazon.com. Apparently all dust jackets or ads showing this photo have been pulled. What was it Mr. Kerry said when accepting the nomination about "Old Glory" and the symbol it represented? What a hypocrite!

Kerry is trying to get everyone off the Vietnam subject by creating controversy using Howard Dean. Don't let this traitor off the hook!
You should watch the History Channel or the full set of DVDs of "Band of Brothers" those guys are real heros...and they talk about it...
What they dont do is brag themselves up....they talk about each other and their dead comrades with great respect...they are very humble guys..
But they do talk about the war and what happend to them...
The history channel had some great takes on Battan and the Island Campaigns with surviving veterans...they all had very moving stories...and were gracious enough to share them with their fellow americans..
You can be a real hero and still tell us what happend....Real heros tell us the truth about what happend and dont brag....they are proud of their units and their buddies and their nation....
The idea that somehow 'real heros' dont talk about what happend....I dont buy that for minute
Real heros talk...they dont brag about themselves...that is what makes Kerry a real creep
imo
The ones that I was talking about had to have any information about the war dragged out of them. Either that or you had to read about their exploits in newspaper articles. These guys had close buddy's killed that were right next to them and were among very a few survivors. They did not want to be reminded of this and hid it.
