Anti-Bush book targets kids: 'No, George! No' features colorful illustrations, 'Truth Fairy'

A new book written in a youthful format is being used by parents to teach their children the "truth" about President Bush, says the author.

"No, George! No: The Re-parenting of George W. Bush" uses the "Truth Fairy" to slam the president. Authored by Kathy Eder, who describes herself as "a social justice and morality teacher," the hardbound looks like a children's book with colorful illustrations.

"What I'm finding is that records stores and comic book stores are most receptive to the book," Eder said in a statement. "Sure, the book is selling in some independent bookstores, but the book has been flying off of the shelves at my local Tower Records store. And why shouldn't it be?

"The young are the people who will be most affected by the events discussed in the book. I have even been told that some parents are buying the book to read the story to their young children."

According to the book's website, 50 percent of profits "will support global peace and U.S. change."

Eder previously created the "Operation Hidden Agenda" playing cards, aimed at countering the "Iraq's Most Wanted" playing cards that featured members of Saddam Hussein's regime.

Says the author: "In the book, the young boy George learns about oneness, and perhaps it is time for the children as well as the adults in the U.S. to focus on these same goals."

On the other side of the political spectrum, author Katharine DeBrecht has written for children "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed: A Small Lesson in Conservatism."

The children's book tells the story of Tommy and Lou, who are on a quest to earn money for a swing set their parents cannot afford. As their dream gets stuck in "Liberaland," Tommy and Lou’s lemonade stand is hit with many obstacles.

"Liberals keep appearing from behind their lemon tree, taking half of their money in taxes, forbidding them to hang a picture of Jesus atop their stand, and making them give broccoli with each glass sold," says promotional material for the book.

I wonder what country Ms. Eder prefers to live in?
Obviously, America isn't her country.

This insanity has come about because good men like me have decided not to fight for what is right and speak up. The sense of shame I feel is unbounded, yet I still feel the need not to speak up, even to those who would respect, or at least hear me.

Hey, the Nazis had "The Poisonous Toadstool."

I can see it now: The Communist Manifesto Coloring Book. Only red crayons included (lots of blood, naturally...)

The "truth fairy" part is what really gets my goat. What does she (I'm assuming it's a she, but hey, it's a "social justice" author, so it's probably "fairy" in the SanFran sense.) say?

"Well Johnny, let's look up "projection" in the Big Book O' Mental Disorder Definitions! Hey, under projection, it's got a picture of a donkey! How about that..."

Do Liberals have kids? Or, is it just the kids of conservative parents they want aborted.

I remember this broad when she did that. A rather bloated woman with an equally bloated arrogant sence of moral superiority, IIRC.

Ok, Bush is bad and is wrong for the country. Elder doesn't want them to vote for him, so who exactly does she want them to vote for and does she list 3 reasons why that person deserves their vote? Oh, never mind, kids can't vote, at least in this election.
