Not anymore. The Vatican has been running in the red for years now, donations are way down, and the avericious victims of some pervert priests and their attornies have stripped millions of dollars from the entire Church in America. Hundres of churches are closing their doors, Church buildings are being sold off, and thousands of Catholic charities and missions no longer have the capacity to cope with the needs of the poor. But the lawyers are doing very well these days.
No excuses for either the Church Heirarchy nor the attorneys...this attorney stuff reminds me about a story concerning 30 pieces of silver...
