you might have expected to see a line of Beemers and Benzes in the parking lot instead of Civics and pickups. FYI, a "Beemer" is a BMW motorcycle; a "Bimmer" is a BMW car.

"Bimmer" is a brain-deadeningly stupid coinage which I refuse to recognize. The brand name is pronounced bee-em-dubya, not bim-whatever.
