This is what happens when you are less than scrupulous about facts. The media is not our friend and will subject every claim made by conservatives to a much higher level of scrutiny than if the same claim was made by a leftie.
Now the claims that Nikola's was not a five-star restaurant will overshadow the fact that the Wendy's visit was completely staged by the Kerry campaign.
The name of the place is Nikola's Restaurant & Bistro. It's located right next to the Newburgh Yacht Club.
Now I don't know about you but I don't get very many chances to go to bistos that are next door to yacht clubs. I also don't think average Americans know where yacht clubs are located.
I also don't think my restaurant lunches are eight dollars. I think the owner is a kerry supporter and he cut them a deal on the meals beyond the "modest" discount. He's also running interferance for them due to the fact he's downplaying his business. I can't imagine anyone acting like he is by saying his restaurant isn't on the same par as others.
The entire issue was about Kerry and Edwards being something they're not. The Wendy's switcheroo illustrates it. I do have to believe that edward's wife probably ate both lunches,and went back for seconds as well. She's got a belly that a beer drinker would die for...
I am just surprised that the only folks who called to check were Fox News.
It shows they are journalists. The Telegraph didn't call...Newsmax didn't call.
But Fox did.
I have to respect that.
Actually, I predict the fact that Kerry and Edwards are deceitful about where they are eating and intend to eat will be a pattern we will continue to see throughout their campaign.
