Have you ever lived near a large body of water? Some yacht clubs are more exclusive than others. And they're generally not very hard to find. (Look for lots of boats.)
I also don't think my restaurant lunches are eight dollars. I think the owner is a kerry supporter and he cut them a deal on the meals beyond the "modest" discount.
As a matter of fact, 8 bucks for lunch for a sit-down meal is not excessive in many parts of the country. If you check my posts from last weekend, though, I also suggested that the restaurant gave them a substantial discount.
Some posters on FR last weekend, though, were suggesting that each lunch cost $200, which is absurd. Unless you have wine, dessert and appetizers, it's pretty damn hard to ring up a tab of $200/person, even for dinner, and even at a fine restaurant. I'll give the Kerry campaign enough credit to think that they don't sup on wine and dessert in the middle of the day.
He's also running interferance for them due to the fact he's downplaying his business. I can't imagine anyone acting like he is by saying his restaurant isn't on the same par as others.
I have no idea if this is right or not. My guess is that if you're a good chef with a small restaurant, it's better not to play politics.
Oh, gees, I have to apologize. It's only a crappy, one step away from a health department shutdown FOUR STAR restaurant.

Please notice that the entrees are between 16 and 20 dollars. Now that isn't for a catered meal that the staff no longer has to deal with.
Actually, I'm sort of surprised no one thought of looking up a review.
