Thanks for the ping; I was just looking at this thread. 45Auto has it right, any Republican who's on the wrong side of this issue is politically suicidal. And to think that THIS time around they're going to ban all those armor-piercing 30-30s...

If the NRA doesn't think there's any difference between GWB(as some have stated) and that the lying traitor: John F'n Kerry why do they print anti-Kerry stuff in every NRANews.com newsletter?

Avoiding Genocide
- National Review Online
The right to bear arms could have saved Sudan. As history has shown, as long as dictatorships exist, the only way to ensure the primary right to life is to guarantee the auxiliary right to arms.

VFW Recalls Kerry`s Anti-War Past
- Washington Times
The Veteran of Foreign Wars made it clear August 17 that it is none too pleased with Sen. John Kerry`s 1970s role in the defunct Vietnam Veterans Against the War, which, at the time, called the VFW a "a paramilitary, pro-war organization" out of touch with young veterans.

D.C. Reporters: 12-To-1 For Kerry
- Media Research Center
When asked who would be a better President, the journalists [at the Democratic convention] from outside the Beltway picked John Kerry 3-to-1, and the ones from Washington, D.C., favored him 12-to-1.

Anti-Kerry Ad A Hit
- New York Post
Vietnam veterans opposing John Kerry have scored a hit with a tough TV ad that claims he lied about his war record--it makes swing voters think twice about backing Kerry, an independent study by HCD Research has found.

Dangerous Liaisons
- National Review Online
If the TV-viewing public knows nothing else about this election, they at least know now that the self-indulgent class--celebrities, that is--loves John Kerry. From the moment he became the presumed Democratic nominee, Kerry has done little besides indiscriminately cozy up to Hollywood. Foul-mouthed has-been comediennes, notorious Vegas party boys, gun-toting rappers: The Kerry camp embraces them all as the "heart and soul of our country."

The Cambodian Candidate
- Washington Times
John Kerry`s tangled memory and war braggadocio have been mismanaged by him and his campaign team. They have given too many inconsistent answers, thus forcing the hand of major media outlets such as the Los Angeles Times, U.S. News & World Report, Knight-Ridder and the Boston Globe to start reporting the story.

"If it is allowed to expire, it will be President Bush's fault, and we'll let people know that," said Chad Ramsey, a regional director for the Brady Campaign.
Is this guy dense?! There are a whole slew of names listed later in this article who are more responsible than the POTUS for the passage or expiration of this piece of manure legislation, but that doesn't get in the way of demagoguery does it.

You gonna let the people know about those in the House and Senate who let it expire too dangling Chad?
