Let us not forget it was a Freeper (wish I had the URL to that thread) who started it all when he and others pursued the phony V for valor on the skeery's silver star.

I read the thread at the time, but never grasped the import of what the Freeper was revealing.

I now watch that reporter from the Sun Times acting like it was all him who made the connection. (at least it is now out in the MWDP)

I think the MWDP are constant monitors of FR, or, other Freepers like me have a folder of MWDP and we email to them what we believe to be revelant.

There is one truth, FR & Jim Robinson Rock the boat and the vote.

Here is my post:

Silver Stars are never awarded for anything but Valor thus have no need for a "V" device to differentiate between a meritorious or valor award. Good eye on the pub date!

From another thread. An article by Kate O'Beirne on Kerry's comments on Adm Boorda's suicide:

Veterans said yesterday that although they would take offense at someone falsely wearing a "V" combat pin, they couldn't see how this could drive Navy Adm. Jeremy Michael Boorda to suicide.

“Is it wrong? Yes, it is very wrong. Sufficient to question his leadership position? The answer is yes, which he clearly understood,” said Sen. John Kerry, a Navy combat veteran who served in Vietnam.

Citing uncertainty of whether Boorda deliberately wore the pins improperly, Kerry added: “If he made a mistake, in my judgment it wasn't worth his life, so I'm very sad about it.” And let us consult the Boston Globe for the same day:

“The military is a rigorous culture that places a high premium on battlefield accomplishment,” said Sen. John F. Kerry, who received numerous decorations, including a Bronze Star with a "V" pin, as a Navy lieutenant in Vietnam.

“In a sense, there's nothing that says more about your career than when you fought, where you fought and how you fought,” Kerry said.

In all fairness .. Thomas Lipscomb has been on this story since the Dem Primaries started

Majority of the MSM ignored his articles and questions
