GOP platform pushes amnesty
NJ.com ^ | 8/29/04 | Paul Mulshine

If there are any deluded souls out there who still believe George W. Bush is a conservative, I invite them to examine the 2004 Republican Party platform on the issue of amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Bush is for it. That makes him a liberal. Worse, he proclaims that the amnesty is not an amnesty. So he is not only a liberal, but a liar as well.

Your bogus outrage is beyond boring. The "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" self indulgences of bloviating vandals have lost their Forum cachet given the life or death stakes we all face this coming November. There is no more use for this insulting "victimized by Bush and illegal immigrants" moron mewl we endure day and night in these ugly, worthless threads. The poisonous, endlessly self-indulgent "Bush Wants Open Borders" patty cake of losers here corrupts our Conservative mission. The helpless, solution-free goofballs and vile operatives compromise Freeper reputation and undermine the influence of this Forum and the interests of her smart, innovative winner members. These little "I'm the helpless victim who is REALLY beseiged by Mexicans" knuckledragger chats have somehow, in their 3,204th FR redundant nothingness - seemed to have somehow "Lost That Lovin' Feeling". Threads like this need to go bye bye and stay bye bye until some genius comes up with a proactive political response. Bye Bye.

Let's get our stuff together here people. The "amnesty" betrayal spammed endlessly here is subversive, contrived bullcrap meant only to make Free Republic and conservatives look like bigots and neanderthals, and to create a phony perception of divisive, anti-George W. Bush sentiment within the GOP and Conservative base. All in fraud. It's time Freepers started putting "feets up jerkball butts".

Hey, Freepers ... the honorable, effective, world-changing campaign of the SwiftVets this Forum has made possible IMO shows what great works Free Republic can do when our intent, energy and resources are applied in good faith. We have no time for the poisonous schemes and programs here right now. Let's become tolerant and deferential of the idiot philosopher kings and "Truly Principled" narcissists again after the Bush victory in November.

This is a political War for our country's survival going on. The adult children of immature childliness stinking this place like that Parking Valet on "Seinfeld" need to go elsewhere. Hey, Guillermo, the "feets to the fire" crew like you will always be embraced by Bipolar Larry Mondello and his crew of syphlitic hermaphrodite mumblers over at the "Tricycle Flophouse". They hate neocon American security success in Iraq, the continued existence Free Republic, the RINO GOP and traitor George W. Bush too. Like you!

Oh, and I don't presume to speak for the FR ownership or any other Conservative here there or anywhere. I speak for myself, and "myself" ... I see clearly the beauty of the FR mission, the awesome force multiplying leverage of her membership, and the profound stake we have in the results of the November 2 referendum on America's future. I can't, as I wish, throw you Agent Provocateurs and slimy arsonists overboard, but I can ... and I hope more Freepers do ... embrace my obligation to step up and apply a cyber boochslapping to embedded saboteurs whenever and wherever you are working your oily schemes. We should be gleefully queing up to deliver Muay Thai groin assaults to the people who knowingly vandalize this Forum and subvert our community interests.

Other than that, I had a lovely weekend. I attended a ZZ TOP concert, and damn if it isn't still ironic that the only guy in ZZ Top not sporting a foot-long beard is named ... Frank Beard. Just Damn!

You are right on. I will say that your words almost entirely reflect my views on the matter.

Question for everyone. Do you really think there is this derisiveness over a silly issue as we are debating here in the liberal Democratic party? Hell no!! They are unified for one goal: Victory. Guess what? I am seeing that the GOP isn't, assuming that FR is a true indicator of the GOP.

You people need to get your sh!t together by November 2nd. We all need to make sure the GOP stays in power. If we don't, we WILL be saddled with a lot worse.

You know, it is funny that this is billed by the same individuals as the biggest election of our time, but then they nit pick over inconsequential issues that have absolutely no chance in he!! in getting through the Congress, and you blow them up into the entire election. Get over yourselves!!!

Why am I voting for the President? Because I think that in the long run, his policies and opinions will run in course with mine on where this country should go. I am very damn glad that I see it this way.

People screaming about President Bush's "liberal" leanings need to realize it is either that or the alternative. Do you people really want a repeat of the early 90's? If you do, go ahead....I can't say which way I would have voted then as I was only 12 in the 1992 election. You people need to focus on the bigger goal. That is to stay in power!!! Believe me the Johns dont care what they say so long as they get elected. When playing against that field, you have to take their weapons (i.e. their issues) away from them.

I will get off of my soapbox now and watch the GOP rip itself apart over minor issues, mainly because the whole of the GOP has taken it eyes off of the prize. To that, I include the President, the Congress and more or less everyone on this site one way or the other. Power is the goal, elections are the key. After that, the issues can come. This is exactly the way the Dems are playing and if the GOP does not wise up, it will be in the minority soon enough.

Out

"Power is the goal, elections are the key. After that, the issues can come."

Power to do the wrong thing? What use is that?

I think electing John Kerry would be a great way to destroy the Democratic party ( and rejuvenate the Republicans ). Unfortunately Kerry might also wreck the USA. He's that bad.
So I guess we're stuck with Bush, probably to be followed by Hillary Clinton. We will never get a real conservative in power. This country is in deep trouble!

Vote for Kerry, or waste a vote on the CP or the LP?

Let's worry about illegal aliens AFTER Bush wins reelection. Then conservatives can turn the heat on the RINOs and the Bush administration with emails, letter-writing, and faxing.

We heard the same crap 4 years ago. Get Bush elected and then hold his feet to the fire. Get im elected then he'll do something about closing the border.

Obviously voting for Bush and 'hoping' that he would DO something about the border was a WASTED vote, too.

For some people, illegals aliens and jobs are the issues that affect them most.

Ah, I understand. You are one of the charter members of "Obnoxious Morons for Bush". You're hoping if you insult enough potential Bush voters your candidate will do even better. I'm sure the President is grateful for your assistance!

"Meanwhile, W had better pray (a lot), because if someone gets through the Mexican border and pulls off a successful terrorist attack, this election will be up for grabs, Kerry's wartime warts and all."

So, if they come across on the border with Canada, it won't be so bad?

If the thought pattern is that we should have such impregnable borders, land or shore, that not a single person can get through them undetected, then give up now, because in order to have that, we must abandon all semblance of freedom.

If you are critical of President Bush for not sealing the borders, remember that John F'ing Kerry will not seal them either.

"How did the US ignore the hundreds and thousand of people streaming into our country without being scrutinized?"

That's a ridiculous statement.

You make it sound as if no effort is being made to stop illegal aliens from entering the nation, and that's an insult to the agents risking their lives each and every day to stop them.

Hey, I'm watching Bush deliver a speech to the Steelworkers in Wheeling, WV on C-SPAN. It is awesome. Not an "um" or an "ah" or a malapropism in the talk. Good powerful, Conservative stuff delivered by a historic leader and righteous man.

The man is telling the truth. No politician bullshit. Haven't seen any puppet strings or marianette Karl Rove hovering in the rafters.

I support Bush based on my close inspection of appearances like tonight, because the authentic ideology of the MAN shines through, and he has MY ideology close to his heart. I guess I understand the tradeoffs and compromises necessitated by real deal politics to the extent my support of him has not wavered these past 44 months.

You need to watch, and gauge him, in these appearances to trust him as a Conservative leader and a righteous, forceful defender of our freedoms and security. I do. Without hesitation. I've made my calculation, given him my proxy and I have not been disappointed.

Bush only falters when fielding hostile, trap-laden qustioning from White House press he does not respect or trust. That's when he is inarticulate, wishy-washy and ineffective. He does not exist in a world of bullshit and "gotcha", and when he is confronted by it, he "turtles".

I'm proud to call myself a Conservative, a Republican and a Bushbot. I intend to do what I can to secure our borders and address our encroachment by illegal immigrants. It is VITAL to American security and prosperity going forward, and thus is vital to my interests. But on FR? Right! The issue has been corrupted and manipulated beyond redemptive salvation on THIS FORUM. It is a shame.
