I have many of the same concerns you have over the problem of open borders and illegal immigration. I not only oppose open borders and illegal immigration, I supported a 2-3 year moratorium on legal immigration following 9-11. Granted. The Bush administration has done a better job of
controlling America's borders since 9-11 then was done before. However, with all things considered, the #1 issue for America today remains the War on Terror.
Frankly, I don't think theres any issue in this election cycle that trumps the WoT. The objective in the upcoming election is to reelect the Bush-Cheney ticket and defeat the pacifist forces of the Democratic Party candidates, John Kerry and John Edwards.

I expect Mr. Bush is more concerned with WOT than the election. True, we need him in there, but the focus has to be destroying terrorism. And I don't see how that can be accomplished with wide-open borders. There's no way that terrorists aren't taking advantage of that.
