Election guide 04 ^

Posted on 09/04/2004 10:29:31 PM PDT by Nascardude

Just peaked in at the map. With 271,526 total votes, Bush leads nation wide 65-34. Bush leads in the electoral count 535-3. Every single state is colored Red. The only thing Kerry has is the D.C.

Is this poll accurate? I question the timing of this!

Oh, Man. That would mean a landslide of Nixonian or Reaganesque proportions, which is not at all impossible, given that Kerry isn't even winning in his home state.

Great news! Now let's get Keyes in Illinois.
A "W" bounce might help Mr. Keyes.
I pray.

Well, the poll means ultimately that those who use AOL overwhelmingly choose Bush.

The problem is that this isn't necessarily an accurate snapshot of the American voting populace. For whatever reason, those who use AOL might also be more likely to be Republicans, for example.

That being said, it is a *considerable* lead in the poll.

Yep :0)

Mr. Mo1 was telling me the guys at his work who are Dems have been talking about voting for Bush .. he said they know Bush is doing a good job in the WOT and are not willing to take a chance on Kerry

It's not accurate, but it reflects lots of voters.

It is reset at the beginning of each month, and usually by the end of the month hundreds of thousands of votes have been registered.

Last couple of weeks it's been mostly red, but since the convention it's been almost all red. Yesterday, I think it showed Kerry had 3 EV.

Like another poster said, not accurate, but fun to look at.

My husband thinks in the "secret" of the ballot booth, there will be many who will not be willing to "take a chance" with Kerry. We can hope and pray that is the case.

Reminds me of a idea someone had.. Post signs on the roads to the voting locations that say: "Would you trust your children's future to John Kerry?"

I like the tag line I read on another thread about "John Kerry: The man who made Dukakis look good!"

I hope the only ones who vote for him are the socialists and his butler. It will be the one time I tune in to all the network morning shows and evening news to see the looks on their faces.

Took a day trip today to the Hatch Chile Festival in Hatch, NM. I saw not a single piece of evidence that John Kerry ever existed, but I did see Viva Bush! t-shirts and stickers.

He's not? I haven't heard that and I live in Mass. You mean my vote for Bush will actually count? Yahoo!

The Kerry supporters are out there, though. A friend of mine from Ohio is convinced that Bush is the worst president ever and that he wrecked the economy, and
he and I debate by email (I support GWB of course). He
said he saw Kerry at a rally today...and is convinced
he could never, ever vote for Bush. More than a few
states out there will go Kerry's way, and some by a
huge margin. The nationwide polls now seem encouraging
but it's the electoral vote that matters.

It would be horrible if somehow Bush wins the popular
vote but loses the electoral. Sweet revenge for the libs.

I can't think of any reason why most AOL users would be republican. My lefty uncle and aunt have AOL. Still, internet polls don't mean crapola.

It is fun to look at though....now if we can just take DC too :) :)

I hate to rain on your parade but Illinois is hopeless. The MSM is pro Kerry. Chicago is like Manhattan except all of Illinois is controlled by Dems. Bush Cheney did not bother to open up an office in Illinois. They have written it off. My hubby asked all his co-workers who they were supporting. 100% Kerry supporters. They told him Kerry was a war hero and he is better on social issues. My husband, a Viet Nam Vet, informed them about Kerry and the fact that Bush has given 40% more funding to schools than Clinton. They were all shocked because the MSM in Illinois makes sure we never hear anything positive about Bush or nothing negative about Kerry.
