But, let me defend McAuliffe. I don't believe that he, personally, had a role in this. He is just too clever a sewer dwelling evil doer to have missed ssomething like this. He's faked so many documents that they never would have gotten such a sloppy job by him. He would have had some of Willie's document check.
If may well be that these forgeries were done by the same guys who did the forgeries of Citations on Traitor Johns site. The Lehman Citations nay have been practice for these kids.

No, President Bush does not need to validate any part of this stupid ploy by the democrats. To deny it makes it more important than it is. It is a fraud pure and simple.

I think that the admin may think that the documents will be discredited along with CBS. It's about 48 hours after the 60 Minutes show and the conventional wisdom (not only on FR and on talk radio) is that the documents are more likely than not fake.
That presents more questions for CBS and crew to answer, and fewer for Bush to answer.
Also notice how poorly Kerry's protests in the last month hae been - he came off as sensitive and in the case of the SWIFT Boat Vets, downright whiny. He lost points for that, in case you didn't notice.
The posturing you are suggesting, while nice, just isn't necessary in this case and at this time.
