While I wouldn't put it past Kerry to step on the flag, at least figuratively, and while he obviously didn't correct it. I can't blame him for this.

He didn't design the platform (or if he did the campaign is in even more trouble). This is the fault of campaign/advance staff.

IMHO, flag protocol ought to be taught as part of U.S. Government classes in high school. Too many of us don't know how to property display the flag.

I can blame Kerry easily --- HE is the one stomping all over the flag as he is so wont to do.

He doesn't give a rats ass about the flag, the constitution, or for that matter, the country --- he cares only about his own rear!

If he were a TRUE patriotic American, he would have refused to step on that platform. I refuse to believe that a supposed "heroic" veteran of the US Armed forces would be ignorant of Flag etiquette.

He is a slimeball who should not only be trounced in the election, he should be brought up on charges of War Crimes, stripped of his undeserved medals, and deported to Vietnam to live with his homeboys.
