--------------------------------------------------------
I shared with Indiana Freepers yesterday that Rev Cloud was killed in a motorcycle accident in Knoxville, TN on August 31st. He collided head-on with a vehicle that was trying to pass someone from the opposite lane. He was killed instantly while his wife survived. I wouldn't normally put something like this except for the fact that Pastor Dan served at Ground Zero for two weeks. A story was shared by someone at the service today where someone who was working at removing the wreckage at Ground Zero asked Pastor Dan to pin crosses that identified himself as a chaplain on two of the workers. The workers, though, refused to pin the crosses on themselves as they wanted Pastor Dan to do it. When he shared this story with his wife later in the day she told him that he left all his identification crosses at home and forgot to take them with him. It was then that they realized that Almighty God had put those crosses on him and he also realized the full impact of what had happened.
I ask fellow freepers to pray for this family. Pastor Dan Cloud affected thousands of lives, including mine. He was the one who led me to the Lord Jesus Christ. Now I have this big hole where his memory used to fill. I hope that the ones at Ground Zero he affected with his ministry also know of his passing.
RIP REVEREND DAN L. CLOUD
MayGod bless Rev. Cloud, his surviving family and loved ones.
