"no pension for truth"?
Try "penchant". I stopped right there. Sorry.

It has been clear for some years that the Democratic Party has no pension for truth, and a visibly growing desperation for power But this is a whole new level of low, never before seen in American politics. A Party so desperate for power that they will say and do absolutely anything they can dream up in order to acquire that power.
Oh So Clinton-esque and a mirror image of how they operate and at the expense of the US and the Democratic Party, they continue to wield their political power.

It has been clear for some years that the Democratic Party has no pension for truth... The phrase is "no penchant for truth."
