Appearing on MSNBC's Imus in the Morning on Wednesday, Fineman fretted that due to the CBS scandal, it is getting "increasingly difficult to prove" that the rest of the media strive for "objectivity" and want to be "fair" and "even- handed."

Well, there's an easy way around that problem. Start being fair and even-handed.

Exactly! And the reason Roger Ailes and Fox News are not likely to find themselves in this kind of situation is because they are fair and balanced.

They simply can't. They think being fair and balanced is the same as being right wing. They HAVE to slant the news and show a liberal bias, it's in their blood.

I am not big on the bible thumping.
So this does not come from a 'religiousity' mindset.

But there is a principle called repentance.
simple: turn around and go the other direction.

you can just do it,
not talk about it.
not have an inquiry over it.
ADMIT the mistake and simply don't DO it anymore.
It puts an end to all the turmoil deception and strife.

This would ALL blow over for CBS and Rather in two weeks if it was done in an obvious way. But instead, they will obsess over it, investigate it, put in new proceedures, talk it to death... and tomorrow, next week and next year, do the same old shit over and over and over and over.

Fair and balanced should be the mantra. EVERY news org should do their news style... hannity and colmes. One reports the facts one way, the other with an alternate set of words, and the viewers decide what the REAL facts are and what they mean.

The reason CBS won't do 'repentance' is simple. It interferes with their agenda... plain and simple. Changing their modus operandi, would derail their anti-american and communist/socialist leaning bent.

Since that is their core... we can expect NOTHING but more of the same, until their ultimate downfall via the new media... folks will just tune them out, more and more.
Affiliates will drop off and via attrition, they will eventually extinquish their own existence.

bon apetite CBS.

They can't .. they don't know how. They live in a bubble where everyone they know (like Fineman said) hates Bush .. because he's a repub.

Bernard Goldberg ask one of the CBS reporters why she didn't include any conservative women's opinions in her report. Her answer: "I didn't even think of that". So .. conservative opinion has no value to liberals.

Or the other liberal who said she didn't know anybody who would have voted for him, after finding out Nixon had won the election.

The other thing I just noticed the other night on H&C - I can't remember her name but she was the female VP candidate for the dems - she kept making this statement .. "if Joe Lockhart said the Kerry campaign is not involved" .. according to her it was gospel. However, if George Bush or any of his surrogates said anything - they were lying. Though she's not a part of the media, her thought patterns are just the same .. whatever dems say is gospel and whatever repubs say is a lie.

ALLLLLLLL THAT IS CHANGING .. and I believe this election will prove the liberals do not CONTROL what America thinks.
