This article aside, I would like to THANK all of our veterans of foreign wars for their service. Unlike sKeery (borrowing here) I believe in the goodness of the American people.

Whoever had the bright idea to talk Kerry into pushing the Vietnam thing has done something wonderful! Imagine all these great people for so many years living under the totally bogus scarlet letter Kerry foisted on them! And now, today, they have the chance to clear their names. And let the truth come out. It's fantastic to see. What were the odds? Really? I can't imagine another scenerio that would allow people like this and people like the Swifty's to clear their names.

Kerry is a punk! Ted Kennedy set things up for Kerry 30 years ago and Kerry lied lied lied! What scum he and Kennedy (who killed a woman) are! The worst kind of girly men. It's time to finally shut Kennedy up and let Kerry go away and play with his wife's toys.

What? sputter...sputter! He wasn't on the boat with Kerry! How dare he say this? Who's paying him? How dare he? Who does he think he is? Doesn't he know Kerry was in Vietnam? (/end of liberal rant)

Just FYI for the next time you post.

The website will tell you if you need to excerpt an article when you post, so always try to post the full article first.

My dad was career Army. He did three tours in Viet Nam. (Three 12 month tours). He never talked about it. He was awarded two bronze stars. I tried to get him to tell me what he did, he wouldn't.
All the talk about Viet Nam this election cycle has made me miss him more than ever. (Dad passed 4 years ago).
I truly believe my father was a great representative of the U.S. Army. He loved his country, his home, and his family. There is no way I could ever forgive Kerry for what he said about U.S. soldiers in front of the Senate. He was talking about Daddy, he was lying. That ain't, wasn't, could not be my dad.
John Kerry isn't fit to empty Daddy's chamber pot.

"He used 50K of his own money to put ads in lots of newspapers"

But to the CBS wizards, that's not a story. They'd rather (ooops!) tell us about crossing guard Miss Coocoo whining about how the Republicans are secretly planning to draft her below-minimum standard sons

I do believe, come November 4, a lot of Vietnam veterans are very glad Kerry was nominated since it allowed them to finally get their day in the court of public opinion. I bet the people who run the Last Firebase are probably feeling more optimistic now than they have for decades.
