how does a retired CSM afford a 19th century house anywhere near DC???????

My in-laws paid 20 thou for a house in Arlington in the 60's. If they still had it today it would easily be worth 300 thou. Maybe this guy has had D.C. real estate for awhile, sold it and bought this?

More likely between $800,000 and $1,500,000
