CBS is STILL a DNC hack, HIDING the fact that the DEMOCRATS are trying to institute the draft!

has the once venerable name in news turned over its studios for partisan political activism? September 29, 2004

Tuesday, September 28, 2004, just 3 weeks after the widely discredited story by 60 Minutes II using forged memos, CBS is back at it again. This time the claims are carefully crafted in such a way that they could easily be considered political propaganda. Goebbles might have been impressed.

I get on their website at least twice a day and tell them what a pathetic, vile, biased, morally and ethically bankrupt news organization they are. Lately they have removed all pretenses of being objective. They just openly conspire with the Democratic Party to smear Bush. It is pathetic.

For the last four days the Democrats have been spreading lies about the Bush Administrations intention to revive the draft. Then last night CBS leads with a story that implies the Republicans are ready to revive the draft. No mention that the two bills in Congress to revive the draft are dead in the water and that their authors are both Democrats. CBS is a wasteland of filth.

This quite a story. I thought this was just a bogus rumor but it's just incredible -- Democrats take a dump on the carpet and try to blame it on the Republicans. And they're getting away with it!

Brit Hume called them on it. At least Fox is paying attention.

I actually talked to a woman who said that President Bush is just waiting for the election to be over so he can start up the draft.

I said that is NOT true--he said he won't, it isn't going to happen, the recruiting goals for 2004 have been met, the dems are the ones who authored the bills. She refused to believe me, at first, but I think I made a dent when I offered to bet money.

Good for him. Brit's a bulldog. Sometimes I like to to tune in at the bottom of the hour just for "Washington Grapevine".

C-BS needs to go into rehab to break their life-long habit...of supporting the DNC.

They can't help themselves. The FCC will just have to suspend their license for "broadcasting while liberal".

All I can say is keep pounding the living schlit out of CBS. These guys are unbelievable. They are vile, unseemly liars of the first degree. And they want Bob Schieffer to moderate the Presidential Debates. He has probably already given Joe Lockhart a copy of the questions. Demand that Bob Schieffer and CBS be removed from any role in the Presidential Debates. GLTY friend.

I actually talked to a woman who said that President Bush is just waiting for the election to be over so he can start up the draft.

I found this at Thomas.gov. Maybe she'd like to read the bill for herself and see which Republicans' idea it was...

H. R. 163
To provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

January 7, 2003
Mr. RANGEL (for himself, Mr. MCDERMOTT, Mr. CONYERS, Mr. LEWIS of Georgia, Mr. STARK, and Mr. ABERCROMBIE) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services

A BILL
To provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes...(more)

Also interesting in this bill is this:

SEC. 6. DEFERMENTS AND POSTPONEMENTS.

(a) HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS- A person who is pursuing a standard course of study, on a full-time basis, in a secondary school or similar institution of learning shall be entitled to have induction under this Act postponed until the person--

(1) obtains a high school diploma;

(2) ceases to pursue satisfactorily such course of study; or

(3) attains the age of 20...(more)

Nothing about college deferments. Nada, zip, zero.

Thanks very much. I really appreciate the information. I did tell her that the Dems authored the bill--she didn't believe me. Now I can tell her the names, other than Charlie Rangel.
