Did he also shake the President's hand? I caught the tail end last night as I watched Bush watch Kerry & Lehrer so if there was a wink, GWB saw it as well.

My *recollection* was that Lehrer embraced Kerry's arm as they shook hands and gave him a wink. He and Bush then passed each other and stuck their hands out and shook in passing, neither stopping to chat.

It's just my off the cuff recollection and should not be construed as being seared (SEARED!) into my memory.
