Thank you. Being an RKBA Democrat is admittedly unusual. But it's great fun. I highly recommend it.
Please don't take this as an insult, because it's not intended as such. The idea of being a middle aged, pro-gun white male in the Republican party just doesn't hold much appeal to me.
It's kind of hard to explain to folks, but open carrying while wearing a Howard Dean T-shirt is just one of those moments that have to be lived.

I don't know what a DU is. Not quite that familiar with the lingo yet, although most of it I've picked up. You certainly picked up their terminology, referring to our President as "shrub"

I lurk at DU occasionally to laugh at their delusions and believe me they are deluded. It's the ONLY place I have seen our President referred to as "shrub". This idiot poster claims to not know what DU is, yet he calls our President "shrub"...He's a rat troll pure and simple and I am trying to figure out why he is still here.

Contrary to the opinions of some, the fact that a person is a Democrat does not mean that they have a red bat-phone with a direct line to Terry McAuliffe. Nor does it mean that they dance around a fire during the harvest moon, worshipping an image of Hillary Clinton.

Shrub is a term frequently used amongst Democrats. The place I've most frequently seen it is in the writings of Molly Ivins who has written a book with that title, and who writes a column pretty much every week including the term.
Your point is well taken. I should remember where I'm at and use the honorific instead of the slang. My apologies.
