Kerry has always been an anti, and always will be. Problem is, about 30-40% of the population will vote for either party regardless of that party's stance on RKBA or any other issue. In my view, it's dumb for the RKBA folks to limit their efforts to only one party.
I'm proud to be a Democrat. And proud to be an RKBA activist. And I also love a good chair-throwing debate. So are you ready to talk about the "pro-gun" policies of some illustrious GOP Senators such as McCain, Warner, and Chafee?
In answer to your question about how I plan to vote. I don't believe in cutting off my nose to spite my face. And you can interpret that as you see fit.
Is your nose Bush or is your nose sKerry?
I agree, and on state levels and local levels, party isn't completely an indicator. In Michigan, we would not have gotten CPLS passed without 1/3 to 1/4 of the dems backing it(Eileen DeHart and Chris Dingell most notably). 1/3 to 1/4 of the GOP opposed it, Joe Schwarz most actively. The problem is the dem leadership in the national level and their top funders. They are hard core antis like George Soros, the university crowd, the trial lawyers lobby, public health lobbies, and Hollywood. Beign anti-2a to them is as important as being pro-choice.

I'm a Republican who has voted against anti-rights Republicans (one at a small level in the last election) in the past and would again. I also would not vote for Joe Schwarz whose running in the 7th district if I lived in that district.
I will give you credit for admitting that John Kerry is an anti. That's more than his campaign has been doing which is a mirror image of Andrew McKelvey's AGS's wolf in sheep's clothing scheme which insults my intelligence and PO's me more than someone like Major Owens or John Conyers who is out in the open about their gun views.
Any anyone that votes to ban the .30-30, whether it be John Kerry or Lincoln Chafee doesn't deserve to be elected dogcatcher.
Doing my best to stay above the fray and look at the election as being more about national survival than I do any other issue. In my view there is only one choice and will vote for the only person capable of performing that task. Thankfully, he's a Republican.
Guns have never been an issue with me. I have always had what I needed when and where I needed them. I've never allowed anyone to abridge my right to self-defense. I was born to die of old age, as we all were. Some folks choose to leave their fate to others -- falsely believing that they will never become a victim of banditry or violence, and barring accidents, sickness, or war, will have their lives cut short by a bully. I hate bullies.
Sure thing!
Let's start by talking about the fact that none of THOSE losers is a GOP candidate for President!
The Dimocratic Party, OTOH, is running John Kerry, and it's sorta hard to tell whether he's campaigning for President of the United States, or President of France.
