Very interesting find, try forwarding it to the RNC and see if there dogs can sniff out the truth.
go to www.congress.gov and look. none of the bill numbers match what you are claiming. check your facts. you are bogus.
Awww, dontcha think you're being tough on the eloquent, stylish flip flopper?
Kerry probably just had his eye on a fancy bauble and needed to do a little somethin' for Mrs. Moneybags.
Back off dude! I was looking at http://thomas.loc.gov which keeps all PROPOSED legislation. I made nothing up, I copied it directly from the GOVERNMENT web site.
I followed the links...it all comes from thomas.org...looks legit- bears further research- it seemed like a spoof to me- but maybe not!
this is phony. evemn if you do a word search using "reliquidation", there are only two senate bills with that in the title, neither had anything to do with kerry. One bill relates to reliquidation of certain radios, the other to trade with Chili.
If you look by number, you get other bills.
this guy is as phony as KErry himself
Wow!
Here's a portion of the text of S.2382:
To provide for the liquidation or reliquidation of certain entries of tomato sauce preparation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. LIQUIDATION OR RELIQUIDATION OF CERTAIN TOMATO SAUCE PREPARATION ENTERED IN SEPTEMBER 18, 1993 THROUGH JULY 25, 1994.
(a) IN GENERAL- Notwithstanding section 514 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1514) or any other provision of law and subject to the provisions of subsection (b), the United States Customs Service shall, not later than 180 days after the receipt of the request described in subsection (b), liquidate or reliquidate each entry described in subsection (d) containing any merchandise which, at the time of the original liquidation, was classified under subheading 2002.10.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (relating to tomatoes, prepared or preserved) at the rate of duty that would have been applicable to such merchandise if the merchandise had been liquidated or reliquidated under subheading 2103.90.60 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (relating to tomato sauce preparation) on the date of entry.
(b) REQUESTS- Reliquidation may be made under subsection (a) with respect to an entry described in subsection (d) only if a request therefor is filed with the Customs Service within 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act and the request contains sufficient information to enable the Customs Service to locate the entry or reconstruct the entry if it cannot be located and to confirm that the entry consists of tomato sauce preparations properly classifiable under subheading 2103.90.60 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.
(c) PAYMENT OF AMOUNTS OWED- Any amounts owed by the United States pursuant to the liquidation or reliquidation of an entry under subsection (a) shall be paid not later than 180 days after the date of such liquidation or reliquidation.
(d) AFFECTED ENTRIES- The entries referred to in subsection (a) are as follows:
why go through a third party site when you can go to congress itself? I would think that congress.gov would be the difinitive site of all things related to congress, unless you're talking about other than congress (which includes the senate - where Kerry works)
methinks you've been scammed.
Am I on MoveOn.org? What are you guys smoking? Follow the links. I've been on FR longer than both of you and I don't make up posts.
ABOUT THOMAS
BACKGROUND
Acting under the directive of the leadership of the 104th Congress to make Federal legislative information freely available to the Internet public, a Library of Congress team brought the THOMAS World Wide Web system online in January 1995, at the inception of the 104th Congress. Searching capabilities in THOMAS were built on the InQuery information retrieval system, developed by the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval based at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
The first database made available was Bill Text, followed shortly by Congressional Record Text, Bill Summary & Status, Hot Bills (no longer maintained), the Congressional Record Index, and the Constitution (now found, along with other historical Congressional documents, under the "Historical Documents" category on the THOMAS home page). Enhancements in the types of legislative data available, as well as in search and display capabilities, have been continuously added.

This is an official LIBRARY OF CONGRESS site!!
This bill was from the 107th congress! What happened to the smart Freepers?
(sigh!) the official site of the US Congress is (again) www.congress.gov. You can simply plug the bill number in (it will take either house OR senate bill numbers) and it will show the bill. 2382 is a bill by Inoye from Hawaii inre: native americans!
Once again this is from the 107th. Did you not see the 2002 dates on the bills?
no I did not. and I apologize. please specify next time so my poor BP will not pop my nose?
thanx. heaping huge piles of crow on my plate - just like dan rather...

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES
April 29, 2002
Mr. KERRY introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Finance
That "third party site" happens to be the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS (loc.gov).
I pulled up the wrong bills in my first search as well. Then it dawned on me, I don't think Kerry's even set foot in the Senate in 2004. ;-)
Not really involved here - think it does bear further investigation, but think it is ABSOTIVELY POSULUTELY OUTSTANDING that we are policing each other like this! It is so much more credible then what the MSM does these days. This is great! Keep it up on all sides - the Truth IS out there.
Wow - just had woo wo woo wo music go through my head :)
I guess I failed to make myself clear. I apologize.
When I first read your post, I thought it might be a spoof or satire- it seemed funny.
Then I clicked on the links you provided and discovered they were on Thomas.org which I've been to many times- and this gave (to my mind) some legitimacy.
As to the length of my tenure at FR- I'm confused as to it's import.
I smoke Marlboro lights.
