Woo Hoo - Third on the Fringe list:
"Free Republic Deemed a "hate site" by the chairman of Fresno's Human Relations Commission, this right-wing blog (www.freerepublic.com) is the kind of spot where gay men are routinely referred to as "homos." Still, the site was early to blow the whistle on CBS for touting forged documents concerning Bush's service in the National Guard. Besides culling items from hard-right news sources, it also hosts popular chat boards frequented by posters who make Sean Hannity look like a fuzzy feminist."

MTV and Aljazeera are centered? Don't think so.

Jim, didn't they wind up having to apologize for calling FR a "hate site"?

Let's see. Al Jazeera is "center". Andrew "unhinged" Sullivan is "right". CNN is "center". "The Daily Show" is "center". The Major Networks are "center". MTV is "center". The Washington Post is "center".
This is a joke article, right? I mean, nobody seriously thinks MTV and the Post are "center", correct?

Deemed a "hate site" by the chairman of Fresno's Human Relations Commission,
COOL!!
We must hit a nerve now and then.

This is the Onion masquerading as Time Out New York (I think).

Ouch, that blurb hurt. And when do people use the word homos? People still say that? And Sean Hannity is fuzzy? Whatever.

No one in New York reads Time Out. It showed up here a few years ago. It has a euro-trash style and content that is alien to the NY sensibility. Their magazine is popular in major european cities where the socialist lite schtick plays well. The kids read the NY Press. Delusional kids who want to be transported back to the granola 70's era read the village voice. TimeOut is for euro tourists.

"We must hit a nerve now and then." A root canal is more pleasant to the MSM than the scrutiny of FreeRepublic.

LOL!
In a way they are right. I do HATE lies.
I think though that their definition is more like - anything that disagrees with me, OR considers any behavior wrong, is hate.

My mother's visiting from NYC & she happened to bring that liberal rag with her. Only reason I'm glad she brought it was so that I could post this "fair & balanced" piece here ;-)

I suspect that TimeOut NY is losing money hand over fist. They spent enormous sums of money getting the magazine rolled out in the NY market, probably with the intent of spreading out to every major US city. The other NY weeklies are free and have better content. Time Out is glossy, but they aren't fooling anyone. Eventually they will fold.
