That line struck me as very odd too.
I also thought it was demeaning when he said that the only ones in the town hall who would be affected by his tax increase would be him, Bush, and Gibson.
How does he know that there weren't people in the audience that make 200 grand a year.

I ask each of you just to look into your hearts, look into your guts. If Kerry looked into his guts he'd discover he didn't have any- but if he looked deeper he might find an embedded Vietnam era rice grain or two by hs tailbone.

Not to defend the scum, but he was saying if you count all the soldiers from Missoui that are on duty in Iraq, that would count as the third largest contingent after the U.S. and Britain. Need to fact-check those numbers.
