To make matters worse, the Department of Homeland Security is so hopelessly overstretched that it has taken to releasing what it calls OTMs (Other Than Mexicans) because it cannot house them until it arranges for deportation hearings.
We have heard from border patrol agents that they're being told to let people who look like they're from East Africa and the Middle East go because they say their name is Juan Pablo Garcia from Guatemala -- except that they don't speak a word of Spanish," she said.
This is a very sensitive time. People on both sides have reasons not to want to talk about it. For Republicans, they don't want to upset the apple cart for Bush, while for Democrats, they know this whole issue of the border is very sensitive within the Hispanic community."
The FBI and CIA, however, are apparently very interested, especially after intelligence reported that a key lieutenant to Osama bin Laden, Adnan El Shukrijumah, was seen in Honduras and northern Mexico in recent months.

THERE IS A ONCLAVE OF ARABS IN GUATAMAULA ..... THEY ARE LEBONESE.....
JUST LOOK FOR ISLAM NEWS IN SOUTH AMERICA....... VERY BIG FOOT PRINTS...
REMEMBER
the mafia is smuggling drugs and other stuff across for sale to the patrons in the USA ....... they dont like publicity..... and attention... it is bad for business.....
the terrorists want something across they have to deal with the mafia..... on a local level..... Cali would come unglued if they knew any of theirs drug system was being used... its bad for business.....
so for the terrorisits to make it they have to get around the corrup mexican side of drug dealers and our border patrol.... i
i would think the drug dealers would be much worst to deal with....
think of it this way..... if the terrorist kill us in mass wheo they going to sell all the crack and stuff to.....
it is bad for business....
There is a huge Arab population in Argentina. Conceivably, Al Qaeda operatives could make their way up north to Mexico to cross our wide-open border.
I never thought of it like that but if we are attacked and it is proven it came from illegal immigration from the south we would be forced to crack down. That means the drug cartels would be hit right where it hurts the most.In their wallet. That might actually be a plus for us. The drug cartels are not stupid men.
guess how many of the mafia has protecting their investments.....
why not do a deal with them.... they like money...... they know who is different...... i would have no problem...
Glendale, Ca. Armenian gang murders, hire to kill at will, only equal to mafia hits going back to prohibition. We're ripe for total anarchy in this country if we don't do something to stop it.
I'm really sorry, but Multicultural society is a failure. Only time will prove me out.
I would vote against Bush simply because of his failure to address the border issues in a reasonable manner, were it not for who was running against him. Bush's treatment of border problems is disgraceful!!
How come the Aussies get it and we can't?
The deal with this is to destroy us.The Trouble with that is there is not an "us".We are so diversified. The best way for internal destruction is to to lay back and let the media/Ap etc take the wind out and the networks erode the souls of the young.Eventually we have young clueless who will be either useful idiots, or those directly supporting anarchy which is a tool for later use.(for the dems, quickly for the party members, then revolution and final destruction.)
In case you haven't heard....
"How come the Aussies get it and we can't?"
How come, indeed. I find it embarrassing, don't you?
Everybody gets it. It is a mystery why our borders are open to so many just wandering across and setting up camp. We used to be taught that immigration was controlled, so it would be impossible for 30 million to just show up. But, there they are. It has to be deliberate policy.
It starts at embarrassing and works it's way up to fierce anger at those that are selling us out. I can't get over the lack of respect for our laws and the many willing accomplices.
Agreed and the fact those "willing accomplices" are openly thumbing their collective noses at our federal laws is really unbelievable. The fact they're not being prosecuted at all is very telling.
We all know the problem but whats the use of having a dog if you have to do the barking of the alarm ourselves?
These people are THEIR country's responsibility, not ours. We are NOT responsible for non-Americans! My wallet is flat due to bleeding heart politicians leaching it for needy Americans. There's nothing left in it for illegal immigrants.
If you didn't know CNN is playing a definitely pro-illegal special later tonight. As usual, please notify myself, gubamyster or Hijynx to be added or deleted from the border issues listings. In lightt of new obligations I suggest dealing with those two good men first and foremost.
My sense of fairness and toleration has been altered by forced proximity with illegal and Muslim coworkers. I no longer can share an unbiased, non-negative opinion regarding these groups.
God forbid should an attack on fellow Americans occur coming through Mexico because of those "willing accomplices" thwarting US security, I'm for rounding them up and publically executing every one of them.
I don't think that's fair, NRT.
I know most of the people on your ping list, and they're just as frustrated as I am.
We appear to be beating our head against a brick wall.
The excuse of the election will be over shortly, then we've got to attack this monster with every weapon in our arsenal.
The President has REFUSED to address that big elephant in the room (the Mexican border) when it is well known that there's more than Mexicans coming over that sieve.
