Oil-for-Food Scandal Key to CIA Report Monday

The U.N. Oil-for-Food program — already the subject of federal, congressional and United Nations financial abuse probes — took a fresh hit with an explosive new report that said Saddam Hussein was using the program to fund his ambitions.

The report looking into whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction — found that Saddam was able to "subvert" the $60 billion U.N. program to generate an estimated $1.7 billion in revenue outside U.N. control from 1997-2003.

The roots of the Oil-for-Food scandal date back to 1991, when a U.N.-backed and U.S.-led coalition expelled Saddam from Kuwait following his hostile takeover of the neighboring country.

Although Saddam lost the war, he walked away with important victories — he got to stay in power in Iraq and he ultimately got to pocket millions, if not billions, of dollars. Read more here.

Regime-friendly types would stay there when visiting Baghdad. They'd stop and say hello to Saddam or a crony, snag a voucher good for a load of Iraqi crude and, conveniently enough, there were oil traders in the lobby of that hotel who could turn those vouchers into cash.

Last Night Fox News's Breaking Point had an incredible 1 hour program about the Oil for Food Scam.

They showed how Russia, France and China were up to their keisters in bribe money from Saddam thanks the Oil For Food Scam program. So they resisted and fault GW re the war in Iraq.

It was an incredible program that will never see the light of day on ABCNNBC BS and the MSM fish wraps.

Fox's Breaking Point last night was a great show.

Of course many Freepers have been posting about the oil for food scam for over a year.

Fox did a great job of showing how Russia, France, China and others profited for a long time from the Oil For Food Scam, and how they promised.

The show showed the corruption in the UN, and more important it showed how Russia, France and China were paid whores for $addom. $addom bought the leaders of these 3 countries, and they did their best to keep GW from ordering the attack on $addom.

I had been telling my wife about this scam for over a year. She watched about half of it last night and went to bed very angry at the UN, Russia, France and China.

This morning before she went to work, she asked if ABCNNBC BS had anything on the report and this show.

I said no.

She replied, "Thanks for going to Dish to get Fox News, 4 years ago!"

I watched the Breaking Point 'Oil for Food' program last night. It was indeed incredible! And John Kerry wants us to work with and trust these people? He is out of his mind!

As quoted from the Duelfer Report: "In May 2002, IIS correspondence addressed to Saddam stated that a MFA (quite possibly an IIS offi cer under diplomatic cover) met with French parliamentarian to discuss Iraq-Franco relations. The French politician assured the Iraqi that France would use its veto in the UNSC against any American decision to attack Iraq, according to the IIS memo".

Keep that in mind while reading what John Kerry voted for in September 2002, the "Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002".

SEC. 2. SUPPORT FOR UNITED STATES DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS. The Congress of the United States supports the efforts by the President to-- 1. strictly enforce through the United Nations Security Council all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq and encourages him in those efforts; and 2. obtain prompt and decisive action by the Security Council to ensure that Iraq abandons its strategy of delay, evasion and noncompliance and promptly and strictly complies with all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq.

Also keep in mind that Sec 2 only expresses support, and is not a precondition for section 3, which gave Bush unconditional authorization for Operation Iraqi Freedom.

So the DemoRats insisted that Section 2 be put in the resolution so they could say Bush failed to move the UNSC into action. The fact is the DemoRats knew France was not going to budge.

In hindsight the treasonous DemoRats were stabbing Bush in the back!
