NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sundance Channel announced today that, due to popular demand, the network will re-broadcast National Anthem: Inside the "Vote for Change" Concert Tour on Saturday, October 30th at 6:30pm ET/PT. National Anthem is a television special consisting of behind-the-scenes footage from the tour by acclaimed filmmakers Albert Maysles and D A Pennebaker, and live performances from the final "Vote for Change" concert in Washington D.C. on October 11, produced and directed by Joel Gallen. In all, the tour included 37 shows in 33 cities in 12 states over 11 days. Ryan, and the associate producers are Rebecca Losick and Rebecca Marshall.
i am sure these artists will issue a ****media alert**** asking people to boycott Sundance for not giving Bush equal airtime (end/sarcasm)
Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, John Fogerty, John Mellancamp, R.E.M.
Grandparents for Kerry.
That oughta rock the "youth vote."
Who is demanding it, the artists themselves? Or maybe Dan Rather called up Robert Redford and promised him something in exchange for the favor.
Sundance - the channel America loves to skip over.
so are we supposed to yell, scream and whine and accuse the opposition of unfairly using the media to slant the.....
Why not just put it on infinite loop? I'm sure your average DU-er won't notice the Deja-Vue. (odd coincidence that a segment director is named "Nick Doob" - sounds like the assumed name of a columnist for High Times)
I guess all 500 of their viewers demanded it.
Oh, a toe tapper. I wonder if Sundance will be gracious enough to split the time up with Daryl Worley and Friends?
Fat John E'fin chance. Where is the outrage??????
Oh, thank goodness, I miss it the first go around.
I guess I have Sundance on my digital cable (one of the bonus channels), but I've never even bothered to check. I'm sure very few persuadable voters have even heard of this channel, let alone watch it. The Badminton Channel probably has higher ratings.
Robert Redford, the has been and owner of Sundance, still trying to have the last laugh. I'm glad I quit seeing his movies and I refuse to watch Sundance (549) channels years ago. Unfortunately, Directv still says I have to receive the bloody channel along with the Independent Film Channel (550) even if I never watched either channel. I've rec'd Directv for about 7 years now.
Sundance is not even offered by MA cable providers.
yeah it makes it kinda hard to boycott a channel you never watch in the first place.... lol!
