Cordon and Search Nets Two Terrorists, Weapons Collection

Mosul, Iraq -- The Iraqi National Guard and Multi-National Forces from 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) detained two people wanted for anti-Iraqi activities and collected a variety of weapons and munitions Oct. 24 during a cordon and search in northern Iraq.

During the operation in the Mosul neighborhood of Tal Al Ruman, Soldiers detained two people including a terrorist cell leader with known terrorist links to Abu Yousif, Abu Talah, Abu Mohammad and Sheik Abdullah Aziz. The suspects are in custody with no injuries reported during the operation.

Two Iraqi civilians came to Soldiers of 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment in Mosul and turned in a cache of weapons that consisted of two 60mm artillery rounds and three 120mm tank rounds. Soldiers secured the rounds for their future destruction.

Multinational Forces from Task Force Olympia continue to work together with members of Iraqi Security Forces, leaders and citizens of Iraq to make it a safe, prosperous, and democratic nation. Local citizens should cooperate with security forces by providing information that leads to the capture and arrest of anti-Iraqi forces.

This is IMPORTANT: the prefix "Abu" is generally only used by ethnic Palestinians.

These are *Palestinians* who we are catching in Iraq.

This is the war on terror. These are the people waging war on the U.S. and Israel.

Also keep in mind that Abu Nidal died in Iraq, along with other Palestinian terrorists.
