George W. Bush ^ | October 28, 2004

Posted on 10/28/2004 1:47:54 PM PDT by RWR8189

ARLINGTON, VA -- Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani today issued the following statement:

"We don't need someone who voted against funding our troops during war to take my remarks out of context. Like the President I wholeheartedly support our troops. If John Edwards is looking for someone who is blaming our troops without the facts, he need look no further than his running mate, John Kerry."

I have been seriously impressed with Rudi through this whole campaign. I have to admit that all I knew of him before this was that he cleaned up NYC from a cesspool to what it was previously (a lib haven). But since I don't have the desire to visit a cesspool OR a lib haven, I never paid much attention.

2008 is a long way away, but I think Rudi could fit right into the Whitehouse after our President Bush serves his second term.

They already polled him in NY at the RNC and he beats Hitlery THERE. If libs can't win NY theres no freaking possible way in @#$% they can win the USA.

lol to put it nicely, he is a doofus. a nobody. Interesting though how they expect Bush/Cheney and anyone connected to them to answer to whatever they say, but sKerry and his boy wonder never answer to anyone.

No offense, but apparently you still DON'T know Rudy.

Rudy is a 'tough on crime' LIBERAL. He's a gun-grabbing statist who considers every LEGAL gun owner as much a danger to society as a crack-addict armed robber. Then we have the 'tiny fact' that his stance on abortion is about equal to any Dem, including partial birth.

As such, if Rudy was ever to run on a national ticket, it would result in the biggst landslide victory the RATS ever had. It would surpass LBJ's landslide win over Goldwater. Rudy would 'win' NY and maybe CA, that's it.

Rudy should stay in NY - period.

Be careful ... VERY careful in your enthusiasm for Mr. Giuliani.

IMHO, he's fine .. (not GREAT) for NEW YORK, but the best conservatives can hope for in that area.

But please don't get behind a movement to take him national.

He said today that Texas WILL NOT observe United Nations day

Sadly, that alone will make him DOA with MSM if/when he tries to go national.

Condor is ABSOLUTELY correct about Rudy's political philosophy.

But, IMHO, he's 180 degrees wrong on Rudy's national appeal. I think he would do very well indeed against Hitlery, but of course our continued march towards Big Government Party II would continue and be accelerated.

Unless Rudy did a 180 on his stand on the 2nd Amendment (which I seriously doubt) I could never, ever vote for him. Heck, it's bad enough that the RATS are trying to disarm us, I don't need a 'republican' trying to do it.

And as to his 'National Appeal'; right now I believe most of America only knows him for what he did after 9-11. When and if all his positions are known, I believe he'd be an utter disaster in 'fly over country' on a Republican ticket.
