Walter Contrite is set in his socialist ways. 50 years ago we had a Strong enough base that creeps like him could do their thing and not hurt the country. You've got to be kidding, about the second part. It was Walter who convinced the country that we lost rather than won the Tet Offensive. This torpedoed America's dwindling confidence in the war effort and led -- with Kerry's help -- to our ignominious withdrawal.
