Arvin City Mayor arrested for child molestation (local Oct surprise)

Mayor Juan Alvarez (Arvin CA, near Bakersfield) was arrested on 5 felony child molestation counts one day before election day. Alvarez is a one-term mayor running for reelection.

This just happened this afternoon. It has been on local radcio or tv stations, but I could not find a link on their websites. Arvin is a very corrupt small farming town near bakersfield CA. A lot of corruption here has made the big news media. This is just another story in a long history of corruption. Talk about October surprise!

I live in Bakersfield and my husband works in Lamont so we know all about the Arvin Mayor. Hubby called me earlier today laughing to tell me the Mayor had been arrested. He is and always has been a total whack job!
I always wonder how some people get elected.

Olivares is a blatant racist and has used his position to run whites and other minorities out of Arvin city government and the town so that he can setup a corrupt clone of Mexico. Over his time he has forced elected officials and top city people to resign, using dirty laundry tactics and in each case has replaced them with his cronies.
