I'm trapped on the coast of Kah-lee-for-nee-ah and am looking for a site that will show the accumulating raw vote totals nationally and state by state so I don't have to wait for all the gun shy anchormen to regurgitate results at their leisure. Fellow freepers know of some good ones?
Maybe C-Span
Most state secretary of state websites have good information. SOmeone posted a link to the Ohio sec state webpage earlier. It looks like it will have the tally as it gets it.
oh wow just the question I was wanting to ask! thanx
and bump! :)
Secretaries of State websites.
If there's 1 central site getting all the data, I think that's only because it's getting feeds from the websites of the Secretary of State Offices of the various states. I have a feeling that around 20 hours from now each of us will have a couple windows open - most likely to the SOS websites of Ohio and/or Florida - and we'll be refreshing every 30 seconds, praying for President Bush to get a decisive lead over Kerry.
They don't post this kind of information until the polls close. You'll get exit polling info from the news well before enough precincts will be counted to get an accurate picture of the results.
windows? you mean open tabs in firefox! ;-)
there will be posts tomorrow with links to the relevant sites ... the first clues will likely come in exit poll results leaked to Drudge and NRO The Corner

C-SPAN Election Night Coverage &
Associated Press Voting Returns: On C-SPAN at 9pm ET
Hmmm. Maybe I'll download it as I can't seem to sleep anyway.
Any numbers you may have seen on that site are bogus. They were just testing the system.
Horserace Blogger will be doing that. Any way, there's not much to be done about the polls. Its time to GOTV today.
here is a link to all Secretary State websites. Sorry I can't do a live link
http://www.sdsos.gov/OtherStateOffices.htm
oh it IS a live link good for me! :)
oh that is a good link thanx!
