Ready the troops. It was inevitable that once this new species was found, we would be seeing a lot of straw-man arguments.

evolution is at best a hypothesis as it pertains to the definition of a species. there is no scientific proof. but evolution is a fact in other arenas. right now we are watching the once great democratic party evolve into a quivering mass of jello.

Re: "Once again, they've got it wrong.

The recent discovery of a dwarf skeleton on the remote Indonesian island of Flores has scientists anxious to create another sub-class of humans. This one is called Homo floresiensis, which implies that they belong to a different species of people than those living today..."

It's not evolution as anyone with common sense can plainly detect. No doubt about it, scientists stumbled upon Robert Rei[ch]shhhhhhhhhhhh's family burial plot.

Seems to me that there may be an argument that liberals may have(kinda) evolved from chimps.

I will never understand the argument, I suppose, because for me it is so very easy to understand the reality. You don't even have to be a Christian to get it. God (higher being) created the heavens and the earth. That's it! Evolution is quite likely, but evolution is not possible without the One who created the possibility for evolution to occur.

I'm sorry but I don't see the discovery of new fossils of one species or a hundred to be a challenge to evolution as a theory. Nothing in evolution theory suggests one single thread of species. The driver suggested for evolution, namely natural selection, is based upon many threads being culled over time to drive advantages to survival and reproduction.

In short, the discovery of new fossil evidence might serve to bolster the theory, IMHO
