Few things fill me with more anger than the knowledge that 80% of my property taxes go to support a school system that I, as a loving parent, will never let my children set foot in.

If I could save all that money instead, I could send my kids to the private college of my choice.

Jefferson said it was the greatest immorality to compel a man to support ideas he found abhorrent. And the same thing is true for many government "programs".

If I could save all that money instead, I could send my kids to the private college of my choice.

You could do lots of things you valued if your money was not taken from you, at gunpoint if necessary, and given to people to whom it does not belong.

And I heard more attacks in the newspapers, and at forums this election towards candidates who supported schools other than state run.

In a small Catholic community near us some people have become hostile to those who send their children to the Catholic academy.

In the last 12 years that I have been very active in campaigns, I don't think I have heard this kind of hatred on this subject.
