According to a DU thread yesterday, Rove engineered the defeat of Dean in Iowa, because Rove knew he would have been impossible to beat in the General Election.

"Off the record, many Democratic strategists dismiss such allegations, but they also know such resentment can be channeled for political use in the future." Didn't work this time and will not work in 2008.

Off the record, many Democratic strategists dismiss such allegations, but they also know such resentment can be channeled for political use in the future.Wasn't that their strategy for the last 4 years? Didn't seem to do much good and it will be even harder next time since Bush is really the undisputed winner.

This is great. I hope that there is a lot of this complaining by the Dems in Wisconsin. Then perhaps we can get voter registration reforms through without a gubernatorial veto! There's more than one way to skin a cat!

The congressmen's letter mentions the Web site ustogether.org, which questions why so many counties in Florida that have more registered Democrats than Republicans ended up voting for Bush. The Web site implies someone fixed the results.
Maybe because the Jewish voters in those counties simply didn't want to follow your candidate's policy of cutting and running in the face of terrorism?
