There was a disturbing incident at a Rochester day care center recently involving a sexual act between two little boys.
A 4-year-old boy at Head Start was caught during naptime, committing a sexual act with another child. WHAM's news partner, News-Source 13, confirms that it happened last Thursday at the Jefferson Avenue site.
James Norman is CEO of action for a better community, the organization which oversees Head Start. He blames two classroom workers. Norman said, "This would not have occurred had the adults who were charged with the supervision of the children been doing the job that we paid them to do." Those staff members will be suspended, likely until next week.
Norman says however, the young perpetrator will not be pulled out of the class, though some parents are considering whether they will relocate their children. Norman says the child in question has a history of behavioral problems and the staff feels they would be turning their back on him should they expel him. Child Protective Services is investigating
There should also be an investigation how and where such a small child learned about sexual acts.
That would be my question.
Bingo, beat me to it. A 4 year old saw it somewhere, or had it done to him.
GLSEN/GLAAD/NAMBLA will be moving in on this case....
There had better be. I can't believe though this kid has a history of behavior problems, that eventually led to the assault of another student and they do not remove the kid from class.
Sexual acts don't occur naturally in a 4 year old. He is likely just acting out the same behavior he has witness or what has been perpetrated on himself.
The family needs to be looked at carefully.
Sexually-abused kid alert!
How about raising your kids at home in the early years? I partially blame the parents for dropping their kids in the hands of strangers for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
The liberal's would defend the child's right to do what they want with their bodies. Liberal decay.
I wondered the same thing. Gotta be the parents or someone they live with or have been supervised by.
This is shocking, disgusting and horrifying. I wonder why they don't say that the parents of said child are being investigated? How is it that the child's behavior falls squarely on the shoulders of the two daycare employees?
From experience with my own little bunchkins, I know kids are curious and explore around that age, but actual sex??? That seems to be a learned thing, something taught outside of head start hours (hopefully!).
And what of the child with whom this kid was... copulating (for lack of a better word)?? Was it rape?
Talk about more questions than answers!! I'm just floored!
And the kid is very likely being molested.
The 'blame' lies not with the supervisors, who caught him, but with the child and whatever or whoever put such ideas into his head.
The investigation needs to include his home and his parents, as well as the day care center.
Ding..ding..ding..ding......We have a winner!
He had to learn it from either watching or participating. Either way these parents are in for a full investigation and hopefully some punishment.
Years ago, I worked with a woman who's husband would watch porn films in front of their 2 year old!

I do so agree with you!!!!
(Get your flame suit on, quick!)
Aacckkk!!!!
My guess is these parents could care less about raising the kid. They'd drop in daycare 24/7 if they could.
