This is under the Category that Open Secrets lists as: Single Issue/Idelogy contributions.
This is important since Arlen Specter is being considered for the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Specter is in the pocket of the abortion industry. There is NO WAY he can be appointed chairman.
Good on you for doing the footwork to find this. I had heard a while back that one reason that dems vote against any bill that "lessens" a womens right to choose, so to speak, it that there is huge $$$$$$$$$$$ in the abortion business. The clinics have quite a lobby behind them.
Too bad, they couldn't take that energy behind abortion clinics, and put it in adoptions agencies and group homes for unwed mothers to stay until adoption.

Time to seriously look for a Third party and replace Dimms and Republicans alike with Senators and Representative who will Uphold the Constitution and Properly respresent their people.
Some time ago when this first hit the fan, Specter called in on Rush's show to DAK the whole event.

I had made comments about Arlen and Planned Parenthood [& others] being in bed together and receiving abortion money.
I really had to do some digging, but I think I found something really good for people to write/email/fax/call about tomorrow.
If you look under Other Contributions, that Dirigo PAC is BAD NEWS also. This guy is scum and DRUDGE/RUSH/HANNITY and FRIST all need to be mass e-mailed this letter over and over.
I need to send him a private reply on this.
But let me make sure it is Freeper Always Right and you can also give your opinion.

Arlen Specter supports subjecting our troops to international court trials. Is there any more we need to know?
No question is ever a bad question or anything else. We always learn.
Now in the last couple of years, Specter scored high on Pro-Life issues -- he did vote with the Republicans and the President on the Connor/Lacy law. And he voted to ban or forbid Partial Birth Abortion.
But he has the stated position that he is always for abortion to be legal. That is his stand given when asked, and listed on http://www.vote-smart.org/
But I agree with many medical doctors that Partial Birth Abortion is Infanticide. Why? The procedure involves delivery of a baby, excepting holding the head in the birth canal so that the brain can be crushed.
Senator Diane Feinstein contends this is a necessary medical procedure. But why not give the little guy or little gal a chance to live instead of killing the baby outright?
Senator Arlen Specter's rating by Planned Parenthood is 67% over about 20 years. But what that period is, I would have to look up on http://www.vote-smart.org

What does this say about Senator Specter? What does it say about those who gave him money?
He will have to answer to God. And I honestly hopes that he has a change of heart before then.
His biography lists him as Jewish. I have tried to find a list of the Dirty Dozen Catholics, and I do not know if he is one of them (Is he Catholic or Jewish?)
But Rachel in the Old Testament or Jewish Torah, mourned and lamented that she was barren. Having children was always a great blessing from God in the Old Testament.
Don't forget to tack on the money donated by Soros a.k.a. Mr. Eugenics.
A close second to the pro-abort stance is Specter's whoring himself out to the trial lawyers. His son is a prominent ambulance chaser in Philly. Specter will do his best to sandbag any judicial nominees with a history of supporting tort reform.
This is a good reason for other Freepers to look at other contributions for things to be concerned about.
