In my opinion, a lot of these folks were all disrupted from their homeland by the Ice Age melt. Some came from Sundaland.

I think most peoples move around if they can. The Ice age melts probably did displace people as well as opening up new territory for colonization. One things for sure, southeast Asia is an important area full of surprises.
