Burma junta plotting to create frictions between NLD and students

Burma’s military junta, State Peace and Development Council (SPDC) is planning to create frictions between the National League for Democracy (NLD) and Burmese students over the use of the fighting peacock, the symbol of Burmese students, in its party’s flag.

In a directive sent out by the Internal Affairs Ministry, local authorities and their cronies and thugs known as members of “Swan-Arr-Shwin” (people’s power holders) and Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) are instructed to carefully plan political sabotage works in details, according to those who are close to the people working at the ministry, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The directive also instructs the junta supporters to distribute leaflets purporting the ruling generals. There are two important instructions in the directive: to rally the people of Burma “decisively” for the junta without looking at their status with the added example of the ruthless ouster of the former “Prime Minister” and the Military Intelligence Service (MIS) chief, General Khin Nyunt and to pressurise and antagonise the NLD by agitating its supporters and by causing intra party conflicts so as to cause changes to top NLD leadership.

The agitators and infiltrators are also instructed to spread false and dubious news to wavering supporters of the NLD about their leaders so as to cause misunderstanding by means of sly and underhand methods.

However the junta changed the top positions of troika and shamelessly shouting they would go on their one-sided roadmap to democracy, they never change their inner moods. Their intention is entirely not to allow Burma enjoy democracy. On the other hand, they prepare to stall for time possibly because they understand the world puts more pressure on them. Democracy is the only word they hate most to hear and speak. If you as an ordinary citizen say "democracy" and if it is meant to support democracy, then you will be arrested and persecuted.
