Euthanasia Advocate Nitschke Teaching Suicide-Pill-making classes

ADELAIDE, November 30, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Australian euthanasia campaigner, Philip Nitschke, has invented another scheme to help suicidal people kill themselves: he plans to teach a class of "students" how to manufacture their own suicide pills. He is recruiting participants for his workshop, planned for April.

Nitschke claims to have 12 people already interested, and hopes for 30. Each participant will come away with a lethal 10g dose of a barbiturate-based poison. Interested individuals must have already completed one of Nitschke's earlier workshops, which discussed legal aspects of assisted suicide. Nitschke plans to host more classes later in 2005.

"Many people leave these introductory workshops wanting more," Nitschke claimed, as reported by the Herald Sun. "They want access to the best drugs and the only option available is for them to make the drugs themselves. That is why the manufacturing workshop program was developed."

As suicidal people are mentaly disturbed, supplying them with a means to kill themselves is a real wide open can of legal worms. This guy not only is open for manslaughter but suits by the familys involved.

If a gun retailer can be sued for providing a gun to a criminal, why can this guy not be sued?

If he is so enthralled by suicide why not just take the pill himself? Of course these people are only interested in killing others. What is the difference between teaching someone to kill themselves and pulling the trigger?

Just wondering about the motivation of these "healthy" individuals. It's not a great stretch to imagine somebody signing up to make some poison, then using it to kill somebody else, like a spouse.

Yes when your (their) only hope is in this life, you do all you can to make it last (even kill others in the name of having a sustainable planet), but eventually the revelation will hit them when they find that their life is really going to end one day and there isn't anyone here on this earth that can stop their demise; then they may look beyond the aliens whom they think will save them or the environmentalists or one worlders and cry out to the God of heaven who has given them "Jesus" the messiah.
