Should actors only play virtuous characters? There have been films about Hitler and Stalin too.

I don't know. If a good person involves himself in a movie about Hitler, plays the part, I would not judge his motives if the movie portrayed him as the evil person he was. This just sounds like this film has set out to make a sympathetic intimate up close biography of someone who was sexually abusing infants and children. That's what I question in Liam, that he wants to be so much a part in portraying all Kinsey did so sympathetically instead of so lowly evil and horrific. Some line has been crossed there and that an actor would desire this part with this seeming nasty agenda is..weird.

The problem with the film is not that they portray kinsey, but that they protray Kinsey as a decent guy. How many films have you seen where Stalin was portrayed as a person who never really hurt anyone?
