Josh Friedes, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Freedom to Marry Coalition, said the rapid divorces are no cause for concern.

Well, Josh, since there are no kids involved, who would feel the slightest concern? Hmm?

We'll see what s(he) says when homosexual "marriages" approach a 98% divorce rate after a year.

as IS the domestic violence and infidelity rate. Ya know, maybe this isn't so bad after all as it is illustrative of problems endemic to the lifestyle choice. Homo + homo is a matchmade in....ummmmmm.... <)º:)< Ya know if it is so all-fired important to teach homosexuality to kids why not tell them about the violence and infidelity, along with the shortened life expectancy and incureable diseases?
Oh, those truths would be "intolerant" (Can I BARF now?)

Middlesex County, which is the state's largest and includes Cambridge, Lowell and other outlying communities, received its first gay divorce case on December 2, involving a 38-year-old woman who works for a cleaning business, and a 27-year-old student. The older woman sought the divorce, citing "cruel and abusive treatment" during the three months of marriage.

Opponents of gay marriage said the divorces, occurring so soon after the weddings, confirm that gay couples are not equipped for marriage.

"We're not surprised," said Kris Mineau, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute, which is fighting for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. "Particularly among male homosexuals, the promiscuity is just phenomenal."

With the national divorce rate hovering near 50 percent, gay rights advocates dismissed such arguments.

"That's a cheap shot," said gay rights attorney Mary Bonauto, who represented seven gay couples in the landmark Massachusetts lawsuit.

"......and for these couples, divorce is often the most humane option," Friedes said.

Humane? Strange choice of words.

Sick, sick, sick society they got there in Massachusetts.
They redefined marriage. Now we see the circus acts coming to town.
I couldn't wish it on a more deserving state.
I hope John "Effing" Kerry and Ten "Hic" Kennedy are proud of their state.

Look. Let's be honest here. Homosexuals utilize bathhouses and gay bars not solely for camaraderie, but because they afford them the unique opportunity to have have multiple sexual contacts over and over and over.

Homosexual marriage vows are great until one or both of the partners "need" to return to that lifestyle. Drugs and promiscuity in the homosexual "lifestyle" go hand-in-hand.

I cannot imagine the vast majority of homosexuals who "marry?" have any intention of adhering to their vows. They grow bored with monogamy in a short time (7 months) and need to return to their previous lifestyle.
