Please, tone down. Actually what AmericanMade1776 said is correct at face value. Your reply is as well correct, also at face value, except for your presuming to know the motivation and feeling of AmericanMade1776, which you really do not.

We are all "little insignificant specks of dusts" (God made Adam from dust). It is only His Love and Grace that makes us "special" to Him.

Blessings

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed a man's body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And the man became a living person.

Genesis 3::19 All your life you will sweat to produce food, until your dying day. Then you will return to the ground from which you came. For you were made from dust, and to the dust you will return."

I understand that we are nothing without God. But AmericanMade's tone in his post was extremely condescending. The "how big of him" part in particular.

We have no place being condescending to someone because they are not followers of Christ. Especially when they have PUBLICALLY admitted that they have been wrong about something they felt very strongly about for a very long time. Some of us have trouble admitting we were wrong if we make a tiny mistake that has no real consequence on our life at all. This guy has a following for his studies and teachings and he was able to say, "you know what...I was wrong."

That is a huge step and it was "big" of him to be able to admit just how wrong he was. It's not like he went from "there is a God, but He's not all knowing," to "There is a God and He IS all knowing." He went from believing with everything in him that there was no God at all. To now publically admitting that there is! And that is huge.

I will completely agree that we are all "specks of dust" as compared to God until we accept Him into our lives and become saved. But does that mean I have a right to look down on someone else just because I made that step and they haven't? This man needs prayer and encouragement, not "well then...aren't you just special for figuring out what all of us knew already".

I understand that he probably isn't reading this, and probably didn't see AmericanMade's post, and probably never will. But other people have this attitude** and he is going to hear this from plenty of people.

**attitude: I am defining this word as the attitude that I PERCEIVE AmericanMade has, just from reading his post. If I am wrong about that perceived attitude then I certainly apologize for jumping to conclusions on what you meant when you posted. But this is how it came across to me. Maybe I'm the only one who saw it this way, but it did bother me (so you can probably tell or we wouldn't be having this discussion)
