Hitler a Mickey Mouse fan

Adolf Hitler was a fan of Mickey Mouse, according to the son of the Fuehrer's architect Albert Speer.

Albert Speer junior said he spent time in the dictator's Obersalzberg residence watching his collection of Mickey Mouse films while his dad worked on projects such as the Nuremburg Rally and the failed Nazi master-city Germania with Hitler.

"Hitler had his own cinema and we would go there and watch his Mickey Mouse films. As kids, we were fascinated by them," Speer said in an interview with German magazine Galore.

He added: "I'd be lying if I said Hitler watched them with us. But they were his films, that much is true."

When asked how he remembered Hitler, Speer junior said: "I don't have any special recollection of him, just as a kind of uncle."

I wonder if Hitler ate bread? My gosh, if he did, I better stop eating bread because only evil people eat bread!

I heard Stalin really loved the Three Stooges. And OBL can't get enough of the Power Puff Girls.

He also liked Chaplin's 'The Great Dictator'.

See, parents? Let your kids watch Disney and they grow up to be genocidal maniacs.

It's a thin line between genius and madman. His appreciation for Mickey Mouse just was one of those things on the genius side of the line.

I remember reading somewhere - The Book of Lists, I believe - that Adolf's favorite film was King Kong.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Wacko Jacko side of the line. But, there does seem to be some correlation between sociopathic and psychotic tendencies and cartoons. Maybe because the sociopath sees no difference between bashing someone's head in with a cast-iron skillet in a cartoon and bashing someone's head in with a cast-iron skillet in real life. Only difference is the real persons head doesn't go flat like in the cartoons, dammit. But there is that lovely blood. Mmmmmm.... blooood.

Just heard on the radio this a.m. that Petah Jennings was married to an muslim. I read earlier on FR that Giuliani's man Kerik had a 3rd wife that our illustrious WH and FBI investigative teams overlooked. Now I read that A-dolph liked Mickey Mouse. Today is just full of surprises and it's still morning.

Steven Spielberg didn't come out with his cartoon mouse Feifel until after Hitler's death. Somehow I don't think Hitler would have been a fan.

See Hitler wasn't all bad, even loved dogs, too! (of course except for the time he tried out his poison suicide pills on his beloved German Shepard, Blondie! How could poor Blondie live on a world devoid of the guiding light of der fuhrer?)

Of course I hope you realize this is sarcasm.

Curiously enough, the three most-recognized icons of the 20th century are the Nazi swastika, Mickey Mouse, and the (glass) Coca-Cola bottle.
