Numbers matter. Sweden could handle 50 Jews and other European refugees after World war 2. The Swedes can handle the influx of Finns into the border area.
However, the raw number of immigrants in Malmo and the fact that most are Muslim is a real problem.

The annual South American parade there is charming. What the larger Muslim population is doing is terrifying.

Quite true... sheer numbers are disruptive of any established culture. In fact the numbers also feed the problem of non-assimilation by creating whole 'pockets' of a different culture, reinforcing a defacto separatism.
