Cokie Roberts Blames Michael Moore

Former "This Week" host and National Public Radio veteran Cokie Roberts blamed conspiracy filmmaker Michael Moore on Sunday for causing Sen. John Kerry to lose the presidential election.

"I think Michael Moore actually had a very major impact - a negative impact - on the Democratic Party," Roberts told NBC's "Chris Matthews Show."

"I think he exemplified all of the things that people hate about Democrats. And the fact that he was - it was a hate-America-first campaign and that hurts the Democrats every time."

Adding insult to injury, Roberts also contended that Moore's "physical appearance did not help."

I don't remember reading any objective nor mediating criticism by Cokie Roberts during the four-year HATE-BUSH campaign by Democrats, Moore, Move-On, Soros, Whoopi!, et al.

Doesn't Whoopi rhyme with Cokie?
Cokie Roberts flops on integrity.

I knew the liberal/leftist coven would implode. It's devious base is built for implosion.

Lacking meaningful forethought and editorial integrity, Cokie Roberts should move-on...and out.

When has Cokie ever before complained about the "liberal" agenda to "Hate America First"?

Why in the hell does the stale old Media keep dragging-up stale old pro-leftist pundits like Cokie Roberts for comment and analysis? It's much too late for damage control and the blame game. America's media needs fresh voices from the silent majority intelligensia.

What about analysis by the prodigy Ben Sharpiro who wrote BRAINWASHED?

"Reads like an appropriate background for someone who's a national news reporter."

Certainly does.

It must have been very difficult for her whenever she was forced to butter her own bread. ;)

Isn't it sweet to know Moore is now working to elect Hitlery Rodham-Stalin in 08?

Yes..... the gift that keeps on giving.

Hmm...Well Cokie, in this statement; "I think he exemplified all of the things that people hate about Democrats" I didn't notice a denunciation of all of those things that people hate, and/or a challenge to *change* those things.

Seems you just want him out of sight so that you can try to fool us with a different "message," and that his "in your face" style is putting a crimp on your plans.

Same old same old.

"What did he say Lieberman did against Dean?"

Apparently Lieberman wasn't all that impressed by Dean's "primal scream," so he ridiculed him in the press...But WHO DIDN'T??

That was about the extent of detail given, but I didn't want to bury and embarrass the kid in front of his folks.

I agree with her to the point the problem is "hate America" as the underlying belief of the RATS. Add to this militant atheism, an Apollonian belief in the intellect and you have the earmarks for a non-majority party.

I guess the pilsbury boy won't be taking the kooky cookie to the Rats monster ball on Jan. 1

Just maybe Linda Round-stadt will be available for him for the ball on Jan. 1.

LOL! That would be a hefty couple, and they'd love each other's conversation!

Wasn't Lieberman still in the race at that point? I can't believe Lieberman was the only Dem who was running that criticized Dean for that loony scream.

The decisive blows to Kerry were self-inflicted:

Kerry's statements re: submitting the US' national defense policy for a "GLOBAL TEST" and Kerry's preference to DEFER to the U.N. and a "Global concensus."

Kerry's expressed seditionist attitudes condemn him.

Also, Kerry's senate record condemns him. Will he be re-elected?

ROFL............. could you see Cokie with the ever-lifelike Eleanor Clift together!!!!????

This guy is exactly right.

This is not a popular administration, and that a candidate as bad as Kerry came that close to winning shows it.

Most people disagree with the massive spending and deficits. With Ashcroft. With the PATRIOT act. With the way the Iraq war is being handled. With the way homeland security is being handled. And much more.

But the same people are absolutely disgusted with Michael Moore calling America an imperialist dictatorship out for oil and our soldiers a bunch of murderers.

Disagreement beat disgust 51-48.

If the Dems had the sense to run a moderate and disown Michael Moore and the Blame America First fringe, they would have won with 325 if not 350 EVs.
