I suspect your sentiments are the majority's. Looks like some lobbying has once again turned Public "Servants" into an ATM for a particular interest.

As regards sports complexes, I've seen too many built and then, after a relatively short run, be blown up - Most never having repaid the Public part of the funding and few actually providing anywhere near the "Benefits" originally forecast.
